Who we are
This website belongs to MA Steelfixing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 08022666. In this policy "we" and "us" means MA Steelfixing Ltd. We are responsible for the personal details you give us through this website.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry: your name, company, email address and phone number, what you tell us about the job, and any drawings or files you attach. We also note which website or search engine brought you to us, if your visit shows it.
When you visit the website: which pages are opened, the website that sent you here, whether you use a phone, tablet or computer, how long pages take to load, and your approximate country and UK town, worked out on our own server from your internet address.
We do not store your internet address and we do not use cookies to count visits. Each visit is counted under a code that changes every day, so we cannot tell who you are or follow you from one day to the next.
Why we use it
We use your enquiry to reply to you, price the work and, if you go ahead, to carry it out. The law allows this because you have asked us to take these steps before entering into a contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in running our business. We use visit figures only to see how the website is used and to improve it.
We never sell your details, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and the files sent with them are deleted automatically 2 years after you send them. If your enquiry leads to work, we keep the records we need for as long as the law requires, for example for tax. Visit figures are deleted after 13 months.
Who can see it
Only our own staff. Your details also pass through the company that hosts this website and our email provider, who keep them secure for us and may not use them for anything else. If either of them stores data outside the UK, the law requires proper safeguards to be in place.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, so there is nothing to accept. Cookies are only set when our own staff sign in to look after the site.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them or delete them, or object to how we use them. We will reply within one month.
To do any of these, contact us using the form on our Contact page.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
